Changing seats -
When I got the plane,(July 2006), the first thing I did was install the
aluminum seat kits and then later this winter had custom seats made.
They ended up being much more reasonable than I thought.....$190
total for both completed.
As a Christmas present from my wife, she had our neighbor (an old body
man/hot rod builder) that is excellent with custom interiors build me a
set of seats. Man did the turn out great! I can't wait to
fly for more than 30 minutes and still have feeling in my legs.
Here's a couple pictures.
First one just shows the whole seat.....the backrest is more contoured and the lower seat is much thicker using more dense foam.

Here a side view, showing the thickness of the seat bottom and how they
are connected so they don't have to be removed from the rear seat
during flight.

Sorry the picture is so fuzzy..........gotta figure this newer camera out.
